hey how about everyone stops joking about how pokemon go is making people “more fit” and is going to “eliminate obesity” (legit just saw this) and how ~lol all these govt programs couldnt get us active but this is~
like STOP. its not funny. you know damn well only thin people are making these jokes. fat people dont GET to joke about being lazy or unfit like y’all are.
and it’s NOT EVEN TRUE. it’s not an innocent joke. it’s literally based in completely false, totally disproven ideas of how weight gain and weight loss work. it’s not even close to being true, it’s not funny, and you’re probably making playing pokemon go in public REALLY uncomfortable for fat people. more uncomfortable than it already is for them.
stop associating fatness with inactivity and nerdiness and being unfit. stop joking about how fat people were only lured out of their homes with the promise of geeky videos games on their phones. stop making these associations negative.
and stop doing it ESPECIALLY if YOU’RE NOT FAT. stop it.
