the way i see it is this: theres essentially two paths that Make Sense from a narrative standpoint right now, where kevin is too sympathetic to come across as a heel much of the time while creative is still trying to tell us thats what he is: take the dive & turn him face (capitalize on crowd support for him And the fact that he…. hasnt exactly been very heelish since coming back to raw) OR go the absolute opposite direction & reaffirm him as the ruthless bastard heel weve seen before (literally less than a year ago announce team was Unanimously calling him deranged, dangerous, and unhinged on a weekly basis, i havent heard them use that language about him much more than 3 or 4 times since hiac (vince hates friendship apparently it makes you weak lnao)).

theoretically these would Both be fairly simple to put in play! with the braun feud, many people (even some who were previously deadset Against him) have Already started seeing him as more face than wwe presumably Wants us to, since they keep trying to tell us how hes really at fault for everything thats happened the last few months, ive noticed increased support for him in both arena crowd cheer/taunt balance AND as far as the online crowd goes here. plenty of people have noted the seeming trait swap between him & sami over time, with kevin shifting more towards the Stay And Fight mentality (even in a number of matches during the feud, where a continuing theme became him attempting to evade rather than face him head on (which, if he had been the Established face going into the arc, would have earned him more “hes doing the clever thing” and less “a cowards move” but thats salt for another day), he appeared shaken but stood ground & faced the opponent) as sami adapted to the Slippery Snake method of outright trash talk & evasion/fleeing for Purely self preservation rather than strategic regrouping. foundation is there, all theyd need is clear indication & understandable motive

as much as i LOVE the idea of face kev,,,,, a heel reaffirmation might be both easier to establish & be more emotionally driven/compelling following that feud. kevin, frustrated & humiliated after months of torment for the simple crime of Attempting To Play Nice & Make Friends, and with no trusted face in his corner for comfort support & Grounding, could easily snap back into Vicious Bloodthirsty Asshole mode, figuring that hes tried, it backfired, and its time to return to his old ways now that hes alone again. turns his back on anyone hes even Remotely allied with & the crowd thats come to support him as he reverts to lust for violence, commanded by wrath & isolation & sheer will to Harm, and with nothing to hold him back, hold him down, provide the ground for his volatile attitudes,,,, he loses control. totally snaps. no longer content to mock & defeat, but craving to destroy & dismantle, anything to distract from being Alone again (after finally having a truly trusted ally, someone thats known him at his highest highs & lowest lows & stayed, finally having pulled sami into the influence of anger, bitterness, resentment, revenge, finally successfully getting him on his side again after all the years at each others throats)
