I really like the idea of Lance and Hunk growing up outside of the US and coming to the Garrison with this like. Preconceived notion of what America is going to be like based on the stuff they’ve seen on tv/movies/etc. Specifically when it comes to school.

If you like anime don’t call Genji, Hanzo and other Japanese characters in Western media ‘weeaboo’, and don’t go see Ghost In The Shell. If you like K-pop don’t say you have ‘yellow fever’ or whatever.
