It could be a possibility that she didn’t want to change. I mean the change is purely by choice.
I’m not even sure peridot fully comprehended that she was poofed. It has probably never happened to her before. She’s a builder/mechanic she’s not normally in combat. But more to the point, when she regenerated she finished the sentence she started before she was poofed.
